Privacy Policy

This policy describes how we process personal data of visitors to vroomio.io — primarily people who join the waitlist of Vroomio, our upcoming car rental and sharing platform.

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Oleksandr Poliakov, company ID (IČO): 23596473, registered office: Kosmákova 2827/42, Přerov I-Město, 750 02 Přerov, Czech Republic (a self-employed natural person / OSVČ, “we”). The business will in future be transferred to a company being established; once it is incorporated and entered in the Commercial Register, that company will become the controller of your personal data and we will inform you of this change in advance.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer — we are not legally required to do so.

2. What we process, why and for how long

a) Waitlist

• Data: full name, e-mail address, optional message, page language, identifier of the form and page variant you signed up from, a record of your consent (text version and time), and technical request data (browser user agent, referring page).
• Purpose: keeping the waitlist, sending a confirmation e-mail and contacting you before launch (launch news and an invitation to register).
• Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by submitting the form.
• Retention: until you withdraw consent, at most 24 months from sign-up or 6 months after the platform launches, whichever comes first.

b) Server logs

Standard server logs (IP address, request time, URL, browser type) are created when you visit the site. We process them based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the site secure and running, and retain them for 30 days.

c) Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Only if you allow it in the cookie banner do we use Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Google retains event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. 3. Recipients and processors

We do not publish or sell your data. We use the following processors:

• Google Cloud / Firebase (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland; Google LLC, USA) — website hosting, database and server logic. Waitlist data is stored in EU data centres (multi-region eur3 — Belgium and the Netherlands).
• Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) — sending e-mails (sign-up confirmation, launch news) and managing the contact list.
• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) — only with your consent, see above.

Transfers outside the EU: although the data is stored in the EU, some providers are based in the USA — we transfer e-mail addresses to Resend, Inc. (sending e-mails and managing the contact list), and within the Google group your data may be accessed by Google LLC. For these US providers (Google LLC, Resend, Inc.) the transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework, both providers are certified), supplemented by EU Standard Contractual Clauses under their DPA. We will provide a copy of the Standard Contractual Clauses on request at team@vroomio.io.

4. Your rights

• right of access and to a copy of your data,
• right to rectification,
• right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”),
• right to restriction of processing,
• right to data portability,
• right to object to processing based on legitimate interest,
• right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing).

To exercise your rights, e-mail team@vroomio.io. You can also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ, uoou.gov.cz).

5. Leaving the waitlist

To be removed from the waitlist, e-mail us at team@vroomio.io at any time and we will delete your data without undue delay.

6. Other information

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Providing your data is voluntary — but without it we cannot add you to the waitlist.

The service is intended for people aged 18 and over; if you are under 18, please do not join the waitlist.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version with its effective date is always available on this page.
